French Blue Vertlock Logo Organic Sweatshirt

French Blue
Benjamin Russell, the owner of a women’s and children’s underwear factory in 1920’s Alabama; that’s where we find the origins of the sweatshirt. He made it for his son who played football at the University of Alabama and couldn't tolerate the uncomfortable and itchy wool jerseys supplied as standard. Benjamin set about using women’s underwear material as football shirts, their popularity was immediate across football and baseball and the sweatshirt quickly became synonymous with American sport and comfort.

French Blue, a colour we love but one we couldn't name, until my mother-in-law referred to it as such, so it's French Blue. The design of this Sweatshirt uses abstractions from the principal CHPT3 ID. On the right forearm is the dash, an element normally represented by nineteen dashes; and on the chest is a vertical typographic lock-up of CHPT3 - for this reason we refer to it as the Vertlock. Made from soft 100% organic certified cotton and with the logo printed with environmentally friendly water-based ink. Only available from
