A Tonne of podcasts
Ned and David are 100. Which, given their actual ages, is not so very far from the truth.
THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD
Ned and I started the Never Strays Far podcast because after recognising that when commentating together on bike racing we never got to very stray far: that's the job - talk about what you're seeing and what people need or want to know. So a chateau or a region, maybe a wine, occasionally a cathedral and the history around it get lost. Yet we'd then talk about it on the transfer in the car from the commentary booth to the hotel, and some of our greatest chats were when we were alone. We just like talking to each other. So we decided to start recording our conversations. Ned and I have become dear friends, he's the only person in the world I can talk to for an hour on a whim about anything; sometimes bike racing, often books and sometimes astrophysics - we do actually stray far. And that's the point, it's not all about the bike, it's where it takes us and what it teaches us. To get to 100 episodes is a madness as we just do it for the sake of, occasionally remembering to promote CHPT3 or The Road Book. Mostly it's just two friends shooting the breeze. Thank you to everybody who has listened and subscribed, shame Melinda Apples never heard us.
