Unlike traditional tent-like rain jackets which bunch around your shoulders and wrists, hanging loosely from the body, this jacket once again sets a new benchmark. We have tailored it to fit properly, meaning that on the bike you won't feel like you're dragging a parachute behind you, nor will you look like you've been shipwrecked at the cafe stop.

The eVent material has two vital jobs: firstly to be completely waterproof, shielding you from the rain. Sure, many jackets offer this but it's the next job that's much more unusual - to be a genuine, breathable membrane that stops you boiling from the inside and getting just as wet as had you gone out with no jacket. Known by those who use it to ‘let the sweat out’, it releases moisture via millions of tiny pores in the inner surface. From these pores, sweat is vented to the outside of the fabric and away from your body more efficiently than any other material.

Similarly, its texture doesn't compare to other waterproof materials, it feels very soft and light, luxurious in fact. That property alone makes it special, it hangs differently when worn, and can be folded up smaller than other waterproof/breathable jackets, stuffing neatly into a rear pocket.

Then there are the little details which truly separate it from the rest: first the higher neck, then the chest pocket with the storm flap, the black reflective beading along the rear hemline, and lastly but most importantly the buttoned cuff. This isn't there purely to be fancy - when undone the arm length increases enough to cover the top of your gloved hand, creating a seal from even the worst downpour. Of course, it also looks very fancy.

Though tailored in cut, a certain amount of room has been left to take into account the fact it is an outer-layer, often worn on top of warmer layers beneath. The K61 has little elasticity, and we have cut it in a manner to offer ventilation between it and the under layers, as such please select your normal size and do not expect the fit to be quite the same to our usual, close fit. So, if you are a 40" chest, a size Large should still be chosen.
