Transit Shoe Care Guide
-
Protect: Before using your CHPT3 Transit Cycling Shoes for the first time, protect them by applying a waterproof or universal spray. This is especially important for white shoes but also helpful for black ones. Reapply the spray after each cleaning cycle to maintain their resistance to water and dirt. This makes future cleanings easier and helps preserve the materials.
I'd use a product like this to achieve this. -
Clean: When your CHPT3 Transit Cycling Shoes get dirty, clean them promptly. I recommend using a small amount of dish soap or liquid detergent diluted in water along with a soft cleaning brush. Insert a shoe shaper inside to maintain their shape while cleaning. Let them dry naturally—avoid placing them in a dryer or near direct heat sources.
-
Rest: As with any shoes, for optimal longevity give your CHPT3 Transit Cycling Shoes at least 24 hours of rest after wearing them for three consecutive days. Daily use can cause moisture build-up inside of shoes, so allowing them time to air out helps preserve their freshness and durability.
-
Replenish: After cleaning, use standard shoe polish to maintain the uppers of your CHPT3 Transit Cycling Shoes—white or black polish for leather. For white suede, cleaning and respirating is sufficient, as polish isn’t suitable. If the midsoles get stained from pedals or are too dirty, apply "deck white" polish with an applicator to cover the marks. This will make your shoes look almost new again.
-
Repeat: By following these care steps regularly, you’ll extend the life of your CHPT3 Transit Cycling Shoes and keep them looking fresh for longer.
